If you've never been Baker Acted before, you're gonna hate this place. I see a lot of reviews that seems people think they're on Yelp and just left a coffee shop. No, this place isn't gonna have marble-tiled showers, it's not gonna have a 50 inch flat screen TV, it's not gonna be a vacation. The facility is setup to get you quick and effective help. I was Baked Acted previously at Meridian in Gainesville, FL. If you think this place is a dump, try going there. The primary care doctor spoke to me like I had an IQ of 20 and used intimidation tactics to get the answers out of me that he wanted. The floors were sticky, the couches smelled like rotting food, the staff obviously hated working there. This facility is the complete opposite. These guys have to deal with some real jerks coming in there, but they're able to keep their cool and talk to me like I'm a normal human being. The primary doctor was one of, if not the most, kind doctor I've ever met. She talked to me for over an hour about my situation. She addressed all my concerns and doubts, and allowed me to really open up about the mental health issues I was going through to get me the help that I really needed but was too nervous to ask for. If I could give this place a million out of 5 stars, I would. If it wasn't for this facility and their staff, my cold carcass would be buried in the ground and my friends and family would still be grieving. If you are feeling extremely depressed and suicidal but feel like you have no one to talk to, make your way over here. Be honest and I promise that you will not be judged. I am eternally grateful for this place. If any of the staff read this review, thank you SO MUCH for saving my life.

Can you imagine getting baker acted and leaving better than when you came in? There staff is so caring...staff make or break these places, all of them were so amazing. I wish they had kept me I'm not making it out here

Doctors and staff were helpful. Staff cared about people and wanted them to get better. The outpatient office is fairly organized and they are doing good work there. I thank new horizons for helping me when I needed them.

I was here two separate times for extended periods of time. I hated it at first because I wasn't there by will. But the Staff & Consulers were so nice and caring but they won't baby you they will ride your butt till you get better. They really know what they are doing and taught me so much about self worth. I honestly love the staff there. The buliding is so nice & they pride themselves into keeping it nice and clean.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. This is a state run facility so of course it's bare bones. The counseling is top notch which is what it's all about and your going to get what you put into it. If your looking for massages and yoga then go elsewhere but if you want counselors who care and who are former addicts who understand the process then look no further. I was there 2 years ago and still say this was one of the best experiences of my life

I'm a former client of New Horizons Independence Recovery of the Treasure Coast. To put it simply... I owe my life to this facility and the Saints who are employed there. The level of care far surpasses any high dollar treatment center. The Counsler Assistants are truly passionate about Recovery and speak from their very own experiences. The Detox staff is just as equally part of the miracle that happens there everyday!!!! Thank You All for my new life!!
